- Are you a licensed company, and can I see your trade licence?
- Are my belongings insured while they are being moved?
- What exactly is included in the price: packing materials, disassembly, unloading, unpacking?
- Will I get the quote in writing, and what could make the price change?
- How many people will be on the crew, and what size truck will you send?
- Do you own your trucks and employ your crew, or do you subcontract?
- Can I track the truck on the day?
- Do you have your own warehouse if I need storage?
- Can you show me examples of past projects or corporate clients?
- What happens if something is damaged, and how do I report it?
Red flags
- A price that is far below everyone else, with no explanation
- A quote given without asking about your property or belongings
- No written details of what is included
- Pressure to pay a large amount up front
- A company that cannot tell you who will actually do the move
