Office Relocation in Dubai: A Checklist to Keep Downtime Low

An office move is judged by one thing: how quickly your team is productive again. This checklist helps you keep downtime to a minimum.

Start early and choose a coordinator

Give the move a start date as early as you can, and name one person on your side to work with the moving company. One point of contact avoids mixed instructions on the day.

Plan the new space

• Get a floor plan of the new office
• Decide where each team, desk and piece of furniture goes
• Number or label desks and match the labels on the boxes
• Check lift access, loading areas and permitted moving hours at both buildings

IT and data

• Back up all data before anything is moved
• Photograph or label cable connections
• Plan internet and phone line installation at the new office before move day
• Decide who moves servers, network equipment and sensitive items
