Villa Moving in Dubai: A Step-by-Step Planning Guide

A villa move has more rooms, more furniture and more moving parts than an apartment move. A little planning makes the difference between a stressful day and a smooth one.

1. Start with a walk-through

Walk every room with your mover, including the garage, storage rooms, roof and garden. This is how the crew size and the truck space are worked out. Point out stairs, narrow doorways and anything large or awkward.

2. Plan the crew and the truck

A villa needs a full crew so that packing, wrapping and loading run in parallel. Our villa moves are done by a full crew for exactly this reason. Ask every company how many people they will send, and what happens if the load turns out to be bigger than expected.

3. Outdoor and specialty items

• Garden and outdoor furniture: clean it and tell the mover early
• Glass tables, marble tops and mirrors: these need extra protection
• Gym equipment and large appliances: mention them when you request the quote
• Artwork, chandeliers and other fragile pieces: list them so they are handled separately

4. Protect the home

Ask the crew how they protect floors, walls and door frames. Good crews wrap furniture and lay protection on the routes they use.

5. Moving day flow

Keep valuables and documents with you. Nominate one person to guide the crew at each house. Check each room at the end to make sure nothing is left behind, including cupboards, the garage and the garden.

6. Unpacking and setup

Tell the crew where each piece of furniture should go before they unload, so beds and the kitchen are ready first.
